The challenge
Fieldnote had grown into a 30-person studio, yet its site still looked like a freelancer’s showreel. Films sat in a grid of thumbnails with no context, and prospects couldn’t see the strategy behind each story.
Our approach
Let the films lead
We built the identity around the frame itself: a letterboxed grid, a condensed title face and motion that behaves like an edit. Each case study opens on the film, then explains the brief, the interviews and the outcome.
Autoplaying silent previews that load only when in view
A modular case study template the team can publish in under an hour
Credits and behind-the-scenes stills to show the craft
The results
Visitors now watch, read and stay. Pitches start with clients who have already seen three or four films.
Time on case studies tripled, from 48 seconds to 2 minutes 31
Inbound briefs grew 41% quarter on quarter
Six new retainer clients signed in the first quarter after launch

Odd Hours rebuilt our identity and website around the films themselves, and pitches now start with clients already convinced.
